Getting Better

Hi everyone - sorry it's been so long since my last post but I've not been well. It turns out I was born with a problem with my liver which needed an operation. I won't know for a few months whether it's worked or not but so far I'm doing really well!

If you're squeamish don't look any further, if not check out the war wound below!!

As you can imagine with all the stitches I'm supposed to be taking it easy but sometimes I forget and get too bouncy, but Claire soon calms me down!

I'll keep you all posted with my recovery.

Lazy Sunday....

Now I'm getting older I can have slightly longer walks which  I am loving!! The result of these walks being that I need slightly longer sleeps (well that's my excuse anyway!)

On Sunday after a nice walk in the woods I decided that it looked comfy where Claire was having forty winks and surely she wouldn't mind if I joined her....

 

Unfortunately Claire woke up when I climbed on but I was soon asleep! Hmmm lovely and toasty......

Great Greyhound Gathering

I know I'm not a Greyhound but Claire thought it would be fun for us to go and meet up with hundreds of other dogs as it was such as nice day. We travelled to Nottingham Racecourse (as as bonus I wasn't car sick!) It was amazing there must have been 300 dogs at least and a couple of thousand people - I LOVED IT!!

It seemed like everyone wanted to meet me so I happily lay on my back so they could stroke my tummy. And I wasn't the only non-greyhound there I made friends with a couple of deerhounds, lurchers and two wolfhounds - if you think I'm a big dog look at this girl

 

The Not So Grumpy Cat!

As you know I have been trying for some months to get that grumpy old cat to like me - I wash him everyday and sometimes I even give him an un-intentional bath (I can't help the water in my beard after I've had a drink!!) But today I think he's finally accepted how wonderful I am.....just look





Housework

Now that I'm getting older I thought it was about time that I started to help out around the house - being a hound I love being outside so I thought I'd start with the gardening

I though it looked better without the flower..

And I clean up after myself!

The Great Escape

On my recent training classes Claire & I have been working on recall and I'm getting the hang of it now (well most of the time!) Especially now I realise that she expects me to come to her and not the other way around.

Seeing as I'm doing so well I had my first off lead walk on Sunday and it was great
